Ishmael Edjekumhene
Director, Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment (KITE), Ghana

Ishmael Edjekumhene is the Executive Director of the Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment (KITE), an energy and environment research and advocacy not-for-profit organization based in Ghana. He has over 14 years’ experience as energy access practitioner and has contributed directly and indirectly to the promotion of access to modern energy services and innovative technological solutions in the West African sub-region in general and Ghana in particular. He is currently the Focal Point for African CSOs in the AEEP, the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Sustainable Energy Network of Ghana (the first country affiliate of the Energy Access Practitioners Network) and a member of the Financing Working Group of Ghana’s SE4All Action Plan. Ishmael has Master’s Degree in Economics (Public Policy) from the University of Hull, UK and a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana.
