H.E. Alemayehu Tegenu
Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy, Ethiopia

Since September 2006, Alemayehu Tegenu serves as the Ethiopian Minister of the Ministry of Mines and Energy. In addition to his ministerial assignment, he is board chair person in the Ethiopian Mineral Enterprise, the Ethiopian Water Works Construction Enterprise, and the Ethiopian Coal Phosphate Project. From 1991 to 1999, Tegenu was Senior Expert and Head of the Oromiya Water Supply Operation and Maintenance Department of the Water Resource Development Authority.
